Assign shift areas to your employees' shifts and view all area allocations on the schedule to ensure optimal coverage. This feature makes sure that employees are allocated to the right place at the right time, enhancing visitor experiences.
Adjust Leave Request Allowance Usage
Need to adjust the amount of leave a request has deducted from an employee’s allowance, or change the amount of paid hours? Leave managers can now change the hours per day the request covers when approving an employee’s leave request.

Navigation Improvements
The navigation menus have been standardised to simplify moving around Shiftie, and colour contrasts have been updated to improve accessibility. Additionally, the settings menu now includes a search function to help quickly find the settings you’re looking for.
February 2025 Product Updates
Last updated: 20th February, 2025Edit Past Shifts
Shiftie now allows shift managers to adjust shifts that started in the past. Shifts that have not been clocked into will be fully editable, while shifts that employees have already clocked into will be restricted with only the shift end time, tags, and notes able to be adjusted. This enables managers to tell their staff to come in earlier or later and add additional details at the last minute.
Split Shift Form Tabs
The create and edit shift form has been split into two tabs; basic and advanced details. From the basic tab, you can set the shift times, job role and location, as well as any breaks or allocated shift areas. The advanced tab lets you add additional details such as tags and notes. This cleaner interface smooths the process of scheduling shifts.
Repeat Shift

Shift managers can now schedule a whole week’s worth of shifts in one click! This simplifies setting up your schedules and allows you to build schedule templates faster. Additionally, you can duplicate employees' shifts and move them around the schedule for easier schedule management.

January 2025 Product Updates

Shiftie now gives you the option to allow staff to clock in from outside the GPS restriction radius for your locations. This enables employees to clock in when the signal is poor. Any discrepancies will be logged on Timesheets so you can easily manage employees potentially abusing this feature.

A new shift details panel will provide more detailed information about each shift for employees and shift managers on both desktop and mobile devices. Quickly view all the information about a shift and act on it as necessary; no more guessing whether it’s the right shift to claim, edit, or approve.

Employees can now easily add a note or message to a timesheet entry when they clock in or out of their shift as well as when taking breaks. Notes help timesheet managers to understand discrepancies in the scheduled versus worked hours so they can quickly approve and export for payroll.

We know your team aren't only paid when they're physically working. Timesheets now include approved time off, which is factored into the total paid hours for the period, providing a more accurate payment calculation.
Shift Cost Reports

Shiftie now includes a wider suite of reports allowing you to assess your budgets and spending across locations, groups or job roles for custom date ranges. These reports provide an easy analysis of your schedule versus actual costs grouped by employee, employment type, location and more!

Have you been concerned by oddities in your team’s timesheet entries? Timesheet history lets you easily audit employee entries and discover any changes made by managers or other staff members. You now have a full set of tools to easily spot where concerns may have occurred, quickly message your team to discuss the reasons, and edit the entries so they’re accurate before approving for payroll.
