Automatic Cost Recalculation

When updating employee pay rates or creating new ones, you can now choose whether to automatically recalculate existing shift and timesheet costs or leave them untouched. Recalculating keeps your records accurate and aligned with the employee’s new rate, while leaving costs untouched ensures consistency in your reporting when historical data needs to remain stable.

End Employee Breaks from Time Clock

We’ve expanded the Time Clock tools to make life a little easier. Alongside setting custom clock‑in and clock‑out times, managers can now end an employee’s break with a chosen time right from the Time Clock page. So if someone forgets to clock back in but you see them working, you can update their return time on the spot, no need to remember to fix their timesheet entry later.

Schedule Overview Widget Improvements

What’s a Dashboard without powerful tools? Just another filler page. At Shiftie, we take pride in providing great user experiences. That’s why we’ve enhanced the Schedule Overview widget to make adjusting shifts faster and keeping on top of actions easier. The widget now remembers the schedule you last selected and includes new viewing options, allowing you to switch between weekly and daily views seamlessly.

Even better, shifts can now be managed directly from the Dashboard; there’s no need to navigate back and forth to the full schedule. It’s all designed to save you time and reduce friction when managing your schedule.

Transfer Default Leave Requests to the New Policy Default

To help you manage end-of-year leave allowance changes, we’ve added a smart new tool that automatically transfers an employee’s current and future leave requests from their previous policy’s default leave type to the new policy’s default leave type. This makes it easy to deduct allowances correctly when leave needs to be tracked under a different type, without the need for manual adjustments. Don’t worry, historical data remains unchanged and available for reporting.

This can be applied to absence records and easily filtered within absence reports, giving you clearer oversight and more accurate reporting.

We’ve also added a practical tool to help you calculate Bradford Factor scores, making it simpler to monitor attendance patterns and manage absence consistently and fairly. You can read more about this here.
