April 2026 Product Updates
Last updated: 22nd April, 2026Absences in Timesheets

No more timesheets stuck with the “dreaded red dot”. You can now mark employees as absent to confirm missing timesheets and specify whether absences are paid. Absences can also be recorded directly from Time Clock, helping you manage each day as it happens and export everything in your pay reports, ready for payroll.
Direct Debit Payments
We’ve added a new way to subscribe to Shiftie. You can now pay via direct debit as well as card, offering a hassle‑free alternative to card payments and eliminating the need to constantly update card details. Just set it up once, and you’re good to go.
Improved Open Shift Review Flow
Reviewing open shifts just became more streamlined! A new status for open shift requests now makes it easier to see which employees are still available and best suited for the shifts they’ve claimed. Plus, any open shifts without available responses will be automatically hidden from the Requests page, keeping things cleaner and easier to manage.
March 2026 Product Updates
Last updated: 31st March, 2026View Historic Pay Rates for Employees

You can now access an employee’s full history of pay rates directly within Shiftie. This update makes it easier to audit payroll for previous months and verify what rates were in place before any changes occurred.
Schedule Overview Widget Improvements
What’s a Dashboard without powerful tools? Just another filler page. At Shiftie, we take pride in providing great user experiences. That’s why we’ve enhanced the Schedule Overview widget to make adjusting shifts faster and keeping on top of actions easier. The widget now remembers the schedule you last selected and includes new viewing options, allowing you to switch between weekly and daily views seamlessly.
Even better, shifts can now be managed directly from the Dashboard; there’s no need to navigate back and forth to the full schedule. It’s all designed to save you time and reduce friction when managing your schedule.
February 2026 Product Updates
Last updated: 23rd February, 2026Transfer Default Leave Requests to the New Policy Default
To help you manage end-of-year leave allowance changes, we’ve added a smart new tool that automatically transfers an employee’s current and future leave requests from their previous policy’s default leave type to the new policy’s default leave type. This makes it easy to deduct allowances correctly when leave needs to be tracked under a different type, without the need for manual adjustments. Don’t worry, historical data remains unchanged and available for reporting.
French Translations
As part of our ongoing efforts to grow Shiftie and continue building an innovative scheduling system for everyone, we’ve introduced French as a company-wide language setting. This is one of many languages we plan to add to Shiftie over time. If you’d like to see your native language supported, please get in touch.
New Absence Type
With the upcoming changes to Statutory Sick Pay, accurately tracking employee absences and sickness has never been more important. To support this, we’ve introduced a new absence type in Shiftie: “Non Sickness (Authorised)”. This can be applied to absence records and easily filtered within absence reports, giving you clearer oversight and more accurate reporting.
We’ve also added a practical tool to help you calculate Bradford Factor scores, making it simpler to monitor attendance patterns and manage absence consistently and fairly. You can read more about this here.
Team Filter Improvements
Managing teams through periods of change can be time-consuming, especially when individual employee details need updating. While Team Bulk Actions already help to streamline large-scale updates, we know there are times when a more tailored approach is required.
To make this process smoother, the Team page now remembers your selected filters when you navigate away and return, saving you from repeatedly resetting your view. We’ve also introduced two new filter options to help you quickly identify employees who are not yet assigned to a group or schedule. This reduces manual searching and cuts down on endless scrolling.

We’ve integrated with ICRTouch! Seamlessly connect your sales data to Shiftie and compare labour costs with your income. Sales data displays directly on your schedule to support smarter shift scheduling and in reports for clear historical cost comparisons.

Link Unscheduled Timesheets to Shifts

Have employees accidentally logged unscheduled timesheet entries? This new action lets you connect them to the correct shift, letting you compare scheduled entries against the actual worked hours, and round the timesheet as needed.
Public Holidays in Timesheets
It’s now easier to pay employees for public holiday breaks. By enabling public holidays in an employee’s leave policy, you can quickly add them to timesheet entries and include them in payroll exports, saving time and reducing manual adjustments.
Leave by Employee Report
Ensuring employees are using their allocated leave is a simple but effective way to support wellbeing. We’ve added a new leave report to Shiftie that brings together every employee’s leave requests within a selected date range, making analysis quicker and clearer. You can now easily spot who may need more rest and who’s already striking a healthy balance.
Set Start and End Times when Clocking Employees In and Out
Tired of having to go back and set the correct timesheet clock-in time for employees you’ve manually clocked in? With this enhancement, it’s quicker to set the time straight from the clock-in, reducing effort and saving time for more important tasks.

Print Unavailability on the Schedule
The printed schedule now includes employee unavailability, making it easier to share complete, up-to-date information with other teams. This added visibility helps improve awareness, reduce clashes, and support better day-to-day planning.
Pay Rate Enhancements

Managing employee pay just got simpler. You can now easily add different pay rates for employees as well as preset them for future dates, ready for employee pay rises or minimum wage increases. Additionally, you’ll be able to manage overtime, public holiday, and night rates for each job role an employee can work, making your schedule costs and reports more accurate.
